Our guest today is JoAnn Dahl, Franciscan Associate and co-conspirator for this podcast. Here are a couple of gems from her ponderings:

“When there's conflict and hate in the world, sometimes I want to despair and I come back to the Franciscan values and try to look again through that lens at the world, and I find peace.”

“Originally I thought Francis was the easy Saint because Francis loved nature and was a friend to the birds and that's good. I can love God and love nature, but as I've grown to look at Francis and his life, I realized Francis doesn't just love God, but he tried in his life to love as God loves. I think that's really something different and something very challenging.”
